B2B Watches: Wholesale, Dropshipping or Custom – Which Fits Your Business?

A business can source B2B watches from us in three ways: buy stock wholesale, dropship without holding stock, or have a watch line made under its own name. Each model ties up a different amount of cash and gives you a different level of control, so picking the right one early saves you a costly change of course later.

What B2B watch buying means for a shop

B2B means business-to-business: you buy watches from a supplier to sell to your own customers. For a watch business, the real questions are where the stock sits, whose name is on the dial and how much money goes in before your first sale. The answers depend on whether you run a physical shop, an online store or a brand that is still on paper.

We supply genuine, brand-new watches in original packaging to more than 3,000 business clients, from retailers to online sellers and brand owners. Here is how the three main models compare.

Wholesale: stock you own and control

With wholesale, you buy branded watches in bulk at trade prices and hold them yourself. You decide what goes in the window, how each piece is shown and what it sells for. Your customers can see, handle and try on the watch, which still closes many sales in a physical store.

The trade-off is cash and risk. Your money sits on the shelf until each watch sells, and a slow model is your problem, not the supplier's. You also take care of storage, insurance and, on cross-border orders, import duties.

Pick this if you have a shop or showroom, know what your customers buy, and have the budget to hold stock. Our wholesale service works with retail stores, online sellers and distributors.

Dropshipping: sell online without holding stock

Dropshipping means you list watches in your online store, and when a customer orders, we pick, pack and ship that watch straight to them. You buy no stock upfront, there is no joining fee, and you pay only for the watches your customers order. Approved partners receive product images, specifications and descriptions, and Shopify stores can connect through the Synctec integration.

What you give up is physical control. You never handle the watch before it ships, and you rely on the supplier's stock and fulfilment. Parcels leave in plain, unbranded packaging with no supplier name, so the customer stays yours, but there is no room for your own boxes or inserts. You also compete with other online sellers listing the same models, so your store, service and marketing have to do the selling.

Pick this if you sell online, want to test which brands and styles sell before committing cash, or want to add watches to an existing store with little risk.

Custom watchmaking: a watch line under your own name

Custom watchmaking puts your brand on the dial. We offer two routes. With OEM (original equipment manufacturing), you bring your own design or specifications and we build the watch to them. With ODM (original design manufacturing), you start from one of our existing designs and customise the branding, dial, colours, strap and packaging. Production can be Swiss, Japanese or Chinese, and we handle prototypes, production, quality control and delivery.

This model gives you the most control and the most to own: the design, the name and the margin. It also asks the most of you. You approve a prototype before production, commit to a production run, and have to build demand for a name nobody knows yet. ODM is the faster route to market, while OEM gives you more say over the final watch.

Pick this if you are launching a watch brand, need branded watches for corporate gifts or staff awards, or want a house label next to the brands you already sell. See how it works on our watchmaking page, or talk to us about wholesale or custom orders.
